Fatigue

Suffering from fatigue can be incredibly challenging, and fatigue can be caused by numerous conditions, so it seems challenging to treat. Feeling fatigued can cause a person to be unable to complete tasks they enjoy, get work completed, or even have a good quality of life. Because of these situations, looking for a solution is important to those suffering from fatigue to have a functional life.

Treatments for Ailments:

Previous treatments for fatigue usually stem from whatever the original diagnosis is, if there is one. As in most cases with medical doctors, there are usually pharmacological solutions for whatever ailment you have been diagnosed with, even if fatigue seems to be the only problem. Thankfully, a large number of people are beginning to look for alternatives to medicines since there usually are side effects that are not worth the benefits that the medicine can provide. When this is the case, all types of procedures are looked into, including chiropractic. Multiple case studies prove that chiropractic care can result in significant improvements in fatigue.

Chiropractic Treatments:

One study followed a 30-year old man who was suffering from fatigue, loss of energy, depression, and occasional headaches and acid reflux. Care for this patient was completed with specific intersegmental chiropractic care using the chiropractic to reduce the vertebral subluxations. After 22 office visits over 8 months, the patient was showing tremendous improvement in the areas of his general health and mental health, and he experienced a significant decrease of the symptoms that brought him in for treatment.

Improved Results:

Studies shows positive results for utilizing chiropractic treatment for a variety of issues, including fatigue. One patient in one particular study was suffering from fatigue, Tourette’s syndrome, and a handful of other issues. He received adjustments over 12 months with approximately 108 treatment sessions using mirror image adjustments to reduce the spine and postural subluxations. After only a few months of treatments, the patient and his wife both began reporting improvements in his energy level and his tremors were decreasing. After the full year of treatments, his improvements were so dramatic that the only reasonable conclusion is that the improvement of the patients’ abnormal posture and reduction of subluxations helped to improve his quality of life and overall health.

Dealing with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome:

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) has an elusive diagnosis and etiology. Most treatments are looking to alleviate the symptoms to allow the patient to have a better life. During one study, subjects were suffering from CFS and had been fatigued for over six months and had four or more other diagnostic issues. The majority of them had atlas alignment issues, so the chiropractic care worked to improve the atlas misalignments to assist the patients help with their CFS. At the end of the study, the quality of life improvement was noticeable in the subjects.
